Mysterious Mist: Living in Gray

Thick gray mist and fog — they can make a setting haunting or downright eerie. They can also add a bit of beautiful mystery. What’s in that mist anyway? There’s a part of me that’s dying to find out and willing to step into that bit of unknown territory just for a glimpse. There’s something about black and white photography in particular that makes a thick fog look almost magical. Here. See what I mean:

good morning lover

She wakes me with the warmth of her golden kisses
slowly my lady disrobes her blanket of gray

In the early morning glow I marvel at the shape, the hills and valleys of her body
and the stark beauty laid out before me

My eyes slip closed and I take a breath as she whispers in my ear
she whispers not just of the day ahead but of the weeks, months, years to come waking with her

Then the breeze die’s and my moment passes
